Lisa Ballantine presents: Aquatic Pond Ecosystems, the Way Nature Intended
Your garden pond (or aquarium) can be thought of as a piece of living art. When developing your personal aquatic ecosystem, it is most important to understand how it works first in nature, and take that as your guide.
About the speaker
Lisa has grown up in the water. Living in Chicago for her growing up years, she was a top swimmer in the state of Illinois. Then in her thirties moved to the Dominican Republic where she created a natural filter for local use. The filter is a biological filter with antibacterial effect, giving the filter a 99.9% efficacy. After returning to the US, she and her husband moved to Naples Florida, where Lisa has focused on building water features, and in her free time explores the water ecosystems of south Florida on her paddle board. Water is her life and she understands the complexities of clean water and aquatic life in the hot Florida sun.
Lisa’s business, Aquascapes of Naples, is the premier pond building company in South Florida offering lovely, natural ecosystem ponds and water features, all built in the style that replicates nature and uses no chemicals. The system is simple and beautiful, and the water clear and cool. Please check out some of her work.
